Return/Exchange Policy:
Keys: No Returns, only Exchanges. Once keys are cut, they are useless to me, because I cannot resell them. However, I will guarantee all my keys to work ‘just as good’ or ‘better’ than the key provided. This means, if a key is worn or damaged, I will offer to remake the key, brand new or like new, for an upcharge, to correct any issues that currently exist. This is something most key makers cannot do, and will typically correct any problems with the key and/or the lock.
Automotive Products: No Returns, only Exchanges. Automotive keys, remotes, fobs, or any automotive parts are sold new/used/refurbished and are guaranteed to work before the customer pays in full. They are guaranteed for 90 days after the date of purchase, although it is at the discretion of Bighorn Security LLC to honor warranty claims after the 90 day period. Most automotive products cannot be reused once they are paired with the vehicle.
Hardware: 2 Week Return Policy. All hardware has a 2 week return policy if unopened and has never been used (in new condition). Items are sold new, and cannot be sold again if opened or used by a customer. Therefore, items shall not be returned if used. Misorders, incorrect items, broken items, damaged items or items that are not as advertised are eligible for returns or exchanges, again, if the item is not used, or the item was not in a new condition at the time of purchase.
Warranty: All items are guaranteed to work as soon as the client leaves, and are furthermore guaranteed for a minimum of 90 days after the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated. This guarantee does not supersede the manufacturer warranty, and is just a guarantee that our products will work for a reasonable period of time after the date of purchase. Manufacturer warranties are guaranteed by the manufacturer, and therefore do not cover extra labor costs associated with repairing/maintaining/fixing issues related to manufacturer defects or problems with the products. Labor and other expenses are only covered (in part) by the 90 day warranty that Bighorn Security LLC offers.
Satisfaction Guarantee: Bighorn Security LLC prides itself on offering high quality products and services to all our customers, and we go out of our way to recommend the best fit for our customers, which is why we spend extra time with each and every customer to make sure what they buy fits their need best. We try not to offer products that don’t meet the expectations of our customers, which is why we guarantee all of our products with a 1 year satisfaction guarantee.
This is different than the warranty, because if you are not satisfied with your purchase, and we failed to offer you reasonable alternatives or accommodations, we will do everything in our power to make it right, even up to offering a full refund. In my 12 years of experience in the locksmithing and security field, I have never once had to refund a customer in full, because I was able to fix any problem or issue that arose.
The only thing I require of my customers and clients is that they bring up any issue they have with any product or service immediately, and not wait a week, month or year to mention any issue. If a problem has gone on for that long, it is often difficult or impossible to determine if the problem was due to a faulty product/service or just improper use. Typically, I am able to solve any issue the same day, or within a few days, often ordering a new product to replace a faulty product at no expense to the customer.
I do my best to be fair and competitive with my products and services, and I want as many of my customers to be better off after they leave my business than when they entered.
